Save the Basse farm in Richfield!
For decades, Basse’s Taste of Country in Richfield has been a place where families come together to make memories and enjoy what Wisconsin communities like Richfield have to offer. From apple and strawberry picking to pumpkin patches, school field trips, and family gatherings, Basse’s farm is a vital part of our community.
Now that future is at risk, and we need your help! The Village of Richfield is considering revoking Basse’s Conditional Use Permit after the family transferred the property into a family-owned LLC because of long term estate planning.
The Village’s actions will shut down Basse’s Taste of Country for good without your help!
❌ There has been no sale
❌ No new ownership
❌ No change in how the farm operates.
Basse’s Farm in Richfield will have the same family, on the same land, offering the same activities and welcoming families and friends like you just as we always have. Revoking the permit when there is NO new owner could shut down a long-standing, lawful family farm and take away a cherished part of our community.
If you believe family farms and small businesses deserve fair treatment and common-sense governance, contact the Village and stand with Basse’s today.
The Village Board is moving quickly and is already meeting on February 19, 2026 at village hall 4128 Hubertus Road, Hubertus, WI 53033 to discuss revoking the Conditional Use Permit.
